6. Results

Success means the new strategies must achieve our clients’ goals while also adding to the benefits and returns for all collaborators, additional agencies, stakeholders and the community at large.

5. Options

With each opportunity the range of options are evaluated with the client’s objectives in clear focus. We study the potential benefits and value that can be added through pursuing alternative directions.

1. Assignments

Our approach is always to start with the long view, seeking to identify the underlying problem rather than simply addressing the symptoms. It means taking a fresh look. Blank canvass, big picture situations allow us to collaborate from the beginning of a project and offer the most conducive environment for problem solving. Often Strategic Services assignments evolve from projects already underway with other SSFM services.

4. Connections

Depending on new alternatives, SSFM can reach out to our network of public agencies and private entities that may be “operating in their own silos”, to seek collaboration for the benefit of all parties. A significant element of SSFM’s value is over half a century of relationships and knowing who to call.

2. Analysis

We ask questions such as, how can we bring more value to the project and client? What other options are there for the client at this point in the project? Are there other entities who could be engaged to make the project more successful? This iterative process inevitably identifies alternative approaches, opportunities and concepts.

3. Exploration

Strategy sessions with clients, stakeholders and interested parties uncover alternative solutions and a range of opportunities. These sessions explore “what if” scenarios for approaching project solutions.
