About the Project

SSFM served as the Architect Engineer Prime and Civil Designer of Record for the expedited design build delivery of a temporary school campus in West Maui, created to house more than 600 students and staff displaced by the 2023 Lahaina wildfires. Working closely with the contractor, SSFM provided rapid site and infrastructure engineering for a 10.2 acre modular campus, enabling the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Hawaiʻi Department of Education to open the facility on an accelerated schedule and restore educational capacity to the community.
