About the Project

As Prime Consultant for various rehabilitation projects at the Kihei Wastewater Platform Structure No.6 and Lahaina Wastewater Reclamation Facility, SSFM performed detailed visual and tactile investigation to identify repairs necessay to extend the useful life of the buildings.

Work at the Kihei Wastewater Treatment Facility included construction of a new steel platform with metal grating to provide access to the pump valves, and modification of the existing spiral staircase to access the new platform.

Work at the Lahaina Wastewater Reclamation Facility included various crack and spall repairs at 4 buildings, door replacements, concrete repairs at exterior curbs and pads and cracked handholes; concrete repairs at the influent structure, which included 2 chambers; and concrete crack and spall repairs at the screening building and exterior grit.
