About the Project

SSFM provided construction management services for the Science and Technology Building at the University of Hawaii, Hilo. The building is 3 stories, with 37,000 sq.ft. and a mechanical space on the fourth floor. The project includes faculty offices, teaching, laboratory, and research spaces for the chemistry, physics, and astrophysics department. The facility, located on a 1 acre site, was created by demolishing 2 buildings and relocating another for use by the Habitat for Humanity.

The site includes 15 parking spaces, mechanical and service access and pedestrian commutation.
