About the Project

SSFM led project management from pre-design through construction, environmental planning, and served as the civil and structural Designer of Record for a new shoreline revetment protecting the Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant outfall in Honolulu. Through comprehensive inspections and surveys, collaborative permitting, and targeted marine and coastal design, including coral mitigation, the team delivered a resilient, 600-foot revetment that safeguards critical wastewater infrastructure and supports long-term regulatory compliance.
