About the Project

This upgrade program for Misawa Air Base’s military family housing electrical power distribution system was undertaken to meet the increased demand for air-conditioning of all housing units. The project replaced the current electrical system connecting the main substation to all houses, placed all feeders underground, replaced all PCB and worn transformers, switches and devices including the wiring up to the transformer station of each house. It also included design of a building for the 6.6KV and 66 KV transformers.

As part of our services as the prime consultant we conducted a design charrette, site investigations and preparation of contract documents.
