About the Project
The new McCully Moiliili fire station includes an apparatus bay that accommodates firefighting equipment and two modular units. The 13,900 sq. ft. building includes a structural steel framed gable-hip roof and reinforced concrete and CMU construction.
SSFM provided structural and civil engineering services for the planning and design of the facilities which also involved design of a temporary structure located at the Ala Wai Corporation Yard.
Demolition, clearing and grubbing, site grading and layout for the parking lot included landscape and walkways, driveway design, relocation and reconstruction of on-site utilities, providing domestic wastewater connection and fire protection service, conducting a site drainage study and providing for the drainage collection system for the parking lot and building roof drains.
