About the Project

Urban streets are repositories for contaminated water and debris that flow through their storm drain systems. Installation of automatic retractable screens, designed to automatically open during storm conditions, prevent the flow of undesirable material to outfalls and help cities comply with the Clean Water Act. SSFM managed the installation of automatic retractable screens on catch basins on streets in the Hawaii Kai area of Honolulu.
