About the Project

SSFM provided construction management services for shoreline protection improvements along Kamehameha Highway in Kaaawa, helping the State safeguard critical coastal infrastructure in an area increasingly affected by erosion and sea level rise. In addition to overseeing construction of the engineered rock revetment, SSFM coordinated closely with residents, managed traffic near the adjacent elementary school, and supported effective communication throughout the project, balancing technical needs with the sensitivities of a tight-knit community.
