About the Project

SSFM served as the Prime Consultant for the Kalapawai Roundabout, delivering transportation planning, traffic and civil engineering, drainage and LID design, environmental compliance, and community outreach for one of Kailua's most complex and community-sensitive infrastructure projects. The project transformed a highly congested, flood-prone gateway into a safer, more efficient multimodal roundabout through extensive coordination, cultural and environmental stewardship, and precise construction sequencing within a constrained coastal corridor.
