About the Project

SSFM provided construction management services including construction administration and inspections for replacement of seven (7) existing passenger loading bridges and restriping of the apron at the Kahului Airport. The project’s objective was to replace 7 of the existing operational loading bridges, remove two inoperable skeleton bridges and restripe the existing apron for all gates. The largest challenge for the project was to be able to conduct the work with minimum impact on airport operations and users. Most of the work was confined to night and early morning hours with only one gate being affected at a time.
