About the Project
The Statewide Interoperable Communications Coordinator (SWIC) serves an integral role in establishing and maintaining statewide governance systems and bringing together stakeholders from the broad spectrum of public safety communications in order to coordinate interstate, intrastate, and regional public safety communications interoperability.
As part of the outreach and education plan for the Hawaii DOD, SSFM worked with the SWIC to:
Identify public safety and secondary safety stakeholders.
Develop a strategy to engage with the public safety stakeholders, as well as the community at large, concerning the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network.
Develop, enhance, and update the SWIC website.
Conduct the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network Conference.
Assist in implementing the outreach and education plan. The planning process led by SSFM informed the outreach and education component of the 2016 update to the Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan.
