About the Project

After completion of the Emergency Management Agency Disaster Warning and COM Devices project to repair, upgrade or replace 500 State Department of Defense emergency warning sirens sites, SSFM provided planning and project management services for a subsequent project that assessed an additional 175 siren sites for modernization.

The program included developing and implementing a GIS system to be used as a “visual database” for each siren location. The system allows for sorting data such as the age of the siren or type of sirens being installed.
