Climate Change Adaptation Design Principles for Urban Honolulu

Honolulu, Hawaii

CLIENT

City & County of Honolulu, Department of Planning & Permitting

About the Project

The City and County of Honolulu requires that all City plans, programs, and capital improvement projects consider the effects of climate change and sea level rise anticipated to reach 3.2 to 6 feet by the end of this century. This study presents design principles for transit-oriented developments and urban areas vulnerable to sea level rise. It also provides guidance for completing applications for such projects, as well as adaptation options for existing projects.
