About the Project
The Daniel Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies located at the entry to Waikiki along Kalakaua Boulevard, added a new Conference & Technology Learning Center to their campus. The 10,000 sq.ft. low-rise concrete building of reinforced masonry and structural steel is designed and constructed to provide Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection and physical security measures that meet the Department of Defense Anti-Terrorism Standards.
SSFM provided structural engineering and civil engineering services. The building encompasses a library, computer lab, conference room, pre-function room and restrooms. A native botanical garden enhances arrival to Waikiki along Kalakaua Boulevard.
