Replace Andersen Housing
Naval Support Activity
These 63 duplex residential buildings comprised of 126 housing units for junior enlisted personnel and their families, replaces 1960 era housing that no longer meets current standards. The project is the first of 11 phases planned to upgrade the base housing to acceptable standards.
The structures are built to withstand 170 mph wind exposure from Guam’s frequent typhoons. The structures are also designed and constructed for Zone 4 seismic conditions. Civil site work includes grading 43 acres, 1.2 miles of roads, sidewalks, as well as water, storm and sanitary sewer utilities. Storm water improvements incorporate low impact development features including seepage pits and infiltration rain gardens.
