LEED Certified Projects

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the world’s leading green building rating system. It is an established framework for sustainable, environmentally sensitive, healthy, efficient, and cost-saving green buildings, that have minimal impact on the environment. Every building consumes resources – energy, water, materials; generates waste from construction, occupants, and other activities; and releases atmospheric emissions. Sustainable building design helps reduce carbon footprints as well as operational costs while increasing building resiliency. SSFM is dedicated to incorporating green building practices in all facets of our practice through maintaining LEED-AP certifications for key staff, maintaining LEED O&M certification for our Honolulu Office, and participating in local national green building forums.
