Pacific Islands Seek Help And Unity To Fight Climate Change
Hawaii is in the line of fire as sea level rise becomes a critical global issue. A recent report from a United Nations climate panel indicated that oceans are warming and glaciers are melting much faster than previously thought. It cited the Pacific Islands of Fiji, Vanuatu and the Federated States of Micronesia as particularly vulnerable, and that some island nations could become uninhabitable. Pacific Island government officials are among those making the strongest calls for action lobbying for change and sustainability.
