UH Career fairs

by Erin Emerson

IN OUR CONTINUED SUPPORT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAI‘I AND ITS
PROGRAMS, SSFM STAFF PARTICIPATED IN TWO RECENT CAREER DAYS AT THE MĀNOA CAMPUS.

In February, the College of Engineering hosted its Spring Career Expo at Campus Center Ballroom. Representing the firm was HR’s Kyle Komoda, Civil Group’s Kenneth Nguyen (formerly an SSFM intern AND UH alum), and Structural Intern and current UH student, Caitlin Wasielewski. They answered questions about the civil and structural engineering paths, what it’s like to work at SSFM, and shared more about the impact of SSFM’s Scholarship Programs and internships through their own experiences!

At the end of March, SSFM participated in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning’s annual Career Fair held at Saunders Hall. SSFM’s Strategic Services Group was represented by Planner and current DURP graduate student, Jena Earle, and Marketing’s Erin Emerson. They shared with students about SSFM’s Graduate Scholarship and Internship Opportunity, open to residents of Hawai‘i and other Pacific Islands who are pursuing their Master of Urban and Regional Planning at UH Manoa.

SSFM places an emphasis on developing the next generation of engineers and planners through numerous scholarships and internship programs for students at the University of Hawai‘i and the University of Guam.
