Disaster Preparedness

Changes brought about by climate change are increasing frequency and intensity of natural disasters. The State and Counties are implementing robust disaster planning and mitigation plans and putting the necessary response protocols and infrastructure in place. SSFM has worked with agencies statewide, assisting in developing plans that support disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.

This has included developing strategic plans for small business resilience and recovery in Hawaii, supporting the development of first-responder communications networks, and assisting with the planning, design, and installation of critical defense infrastructure.
